SHOWCASE CONCERT
Wednesday 23 November 2022, 7.30pm
St Mary's Creative Space, Chester
An evening of guitar music performed by the members of the Chester Guitar Circle

Chester Guitar Circle, formed in the mid-1970s, is a group of guitarists who meet every month in Chester to play and discuss classical guitar music.  Our aim is to encourage players of all standards to improve and enjoy their playing and appreciation of the classical guitar repertoire, and to promote this to the wider community.
The emphasis of the meetings is on playing and performance, but many members also come along simply to listen and chat.  Anyone interested in guitar music is welcome to attend.
They play a wide variety of music, from solos to various ensembles, and sometimes other instruments or voice are used to complement the music.  Several CGC members also play in the Chester Guitar Orchestra, run by John Arran.
Chester Guitar Circle also periodically provides other events such as workshops, masterclasses, on-line performances (during Covid lock-downs), orchestra/ensemble days, and of course festive/social get-togethers when appropriate.
